Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is located on 25 acres in Pokolbin, the heart of the Hunter Valley wine region.  The resort boasts a picturesque setting with rolling golf greens and the stunning Broken Back Mountain Range as a backdrop.  The resort features Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club, which is an 18-hole championship golf course known for its well-maintained fairways, greens, and unique layout (fees apply).  For those who don't play golf, there are tennis courts and three swimming pools to enjoy.  If you work up an appetite, the Bodega Restaurant and Bar on-site offer all-day dining.
The Hunter Region is located north of Sydney a great place to escape, offering some of the world's best wines, quality restaurants, exciting events, and stunning World Heritage wilderness.  The Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest wine region just a two-hour drive from Sydney.  You can find charming towns and villages, rolling vineyards and olive groves, and splendid national parks in the Hunter Valley, the Upper Hunter, and Barrington Tops.  Grapes were first planted in the 1820s and one of the best ways to experience the wineries in the Hunter Valley is to do a tour.  The Upper Hunter Valley is known as the horse capital of Australia and you can't miss its rural beauty, boutique wineries, handmade cheeses, and horse festivals and horseracing carnivals.  You can pamper yourself at one of the many day spas in the region, tee off at a championship golf course, or attend a music or epicurean festival held throughout the year.
