Bansko is the newest and the most rapidly developing ski resort in Bulgaria, with a state of the art ski facility with 17 pistes, including a 16km uninterrupted run from beneath the summit where you can ski down to the base station of the Gondola lift at the outskirts of town. The last 7km of the slope is lit, and the entire facility is equipped with artificial snow machines to ensure a great skiing experience even in warmer conditions.

South of Bansko is the National Park Pirin included in the UNESCO list for cultural and natural sightseeing. The park is famous for its lakes, waterfalls, caves, trees and historical sites. Bansko, together with Dobrinishte, are also famous for their mineral springs.
