Owslow Cottage is situated on Owslow Farm, a working organic farm. The property is approximately 400 years old and stands in over three hundred acres overlooking Carsington Reservoir. This lovely characterful two bedroom property with exposed stone and beams and fabulous countryside views, can accommodate up to four guests. The Cottage has been recently refurbished to four star standard.
Accommodation includes a comfortably furnished lounge/diner with leather suite, television, cd and dvd player. Fully equipped kitchen including a kettle, toaster, iron, hairdryer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Two bedrooms, a master double bedroom and twin room. Shower room.
Unfortunately this Cottage is unsuitable for people with restricted mobility.
The main door to the property is reached through the side entrance which houses an extremely useful space for walking boots, wellies, jackets/coats etc. Bikes and other outdoor activity equipment can also be stored in this area. Outside there is a front terrace with table and chairs and a lawned area to the side of the main farmhouse garden with views of the reservoir.
Owslow Cottage in Derbyshire is situated in a lovely rural location near the village of Carsington. Carsington lies between the market towns of Wirksworth and Ashbourne in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District, with the towns of Matlock and Belper easily accessible by car or bus.
Close to the propety can be found Carsington Reservoir offering watersports at the Water Sport Centre and the nearest golf course is at Ashbourne, only a fifteen minute drive away.
Nearby attractions include Dovedale in the Peak District National Park, ideal for walking, and only a fifteen minute drive away. For cyclists the nearby Tissington Trail runs all the way to the High Peak Trail in the Buxton area. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Sudbury Hall and Kedleston Hall are all only thirty minutes away. Alton Towers and the potteries are forty minutes away, making this an ideal location for visiting many attractions in both Derbyshire and Staffordshire. A car is essential at this property for full exploration of the surrounding areas of Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
