Whitchurch Marina is a friendly and inviting base on the Shropshire Union Canal, nestled on the edge of the historic market town of Whitchurch in Shropshire. Surrounded by peaceful countryside and steeped in canal heritage, it’s the perfect starting point for exploring the waterways of the North West and beyond.
The marina is home to a fleet of modern narrowboats for hire, ranging from cosy two-berth boats to larger family-friendly options. Popular routes include the Shropshire Union’s tranquil stretches, as well as connections toward Nantwich, Chester, or the Llangollen Canal.
Also at the marina, a small Touring Caravan Park offers a quiet, well-maintained space for caravanners wanting to enjoy the charm of canal-side life and explore the surrounding countryside.
On site, boaters and visitors can enjoy secure moorings, modern facilities, and a helpful, experienced team always on hand with advice or local tips. Whitchurch town itself offers historic streets, local shops, and welcoming pubs, making it an easy and enjoyable stop for all.
With a combination of heritage, convenience, and scenic cruising routes, Whitchurch Marina provides a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and countryside charm for both boaters and caravanners alike.
