Although a thoroughly modern hotel, it provides a friendly personal service and is warm and welcoming. Here you can enjoy a relaxing lunch overlooking the river, an intimate evening meal or a traditional Sunday carvery in the 18th Century country pub. The Devon area is rich with legend and lore, as well as the genuine beauty of nature. The coastline here is a combination of towering cliffs, pebble beaches, sandy coves, and lovely bays. There are towers, gardens and estates to visit, as well as haunted castles. No visit would be complete without a trip to the "unconquered wilderness" that is Dartmoor. Littered with prehistoric remains including standing stones, cairns and hut circles, it is testimony to the inhabitants who have existed here for thousands of years. There's also pony trekking, salmon fishing and rural golf.
