The Cottage has a long winding drive and an open aspect to the front of the property, with views over the playing field. The property is surrounded by trees and a lovely garden, with a small running stream, which is child safe. The lawned playing field has swings, a slide, roundabout and obstacle course. There are also tennis courts, football pitch and cricket pitch, bookable at the nearby village hall.
School Farm Cottage is ideally located in the picturesque village of Barton St David, deep in the heart of the Somerset countryside. The ancient medieval market town of Somerton is an eight minute drive, Castle Cary is a twelve minute drive, Shepton Mallet and the legendary Arthurian town of Glastonbury with Abbey Tor and Chalice Well are all within a ten minute drive.
Nearby attractions include Glastonbury, Somerton, Castle Cary and Wells, all within fifteen minutes drive. Glastonbury Festival, Shelton Mallet Showground, Glastonbury Tor, Glastonbury Abbey, Chalice Well Gardens, Wells Cathedral and town, the Glastonbury Zodiac and Somerton an ancient medieval market town where the ancient kings of Wessex were once crowned. There are fantastic places to eat in all the local towns and within walking distance are two local pubs, a shop or a five minute drive to neighbouring pubs.
