At this skiers' paradise, the skiing and hiking trails are just outside the door. After a day on the slopes, indulge in a range of treatments at the spa, which also features hot tubs and steam saunas. The à la carte restaurant offers a fresh take on Nordic cuisine, or you can stop by the Bistro for a casual meal, or visit the buffet restaurant, to enjoy a wide variety of Nordic dishes. Rooms range from studios for two guests to two-bedroom apartments for six people. Ylläs is the largest cross-country and downhill ski resort in Finland with over 60 slopes. Visit the nearby Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, home to vast untouched forest and marsh areas. In this beautiful natural setting enjoy outdoor recreation including snowmobiling, and reindeer and husky safaris. In winter, the snow village in Lainio, Kittilä features the largest ice dome in Europe. Be sure to visit the à la carte restaurant with ice-carved tables and bar, and the spectacular snow galleries lined with beautifully illuminated ice art.
