Against a backdrop of majestic Himalayas, Kullu-Manali is abundant with apple orchards, rolling meadows and grazing herds along the hillsides. This region is also known for its many temples and quaint villages, as well as for outdoor adventure. Raft down the Beas, hike the many trails, or ski on the powdery slopes of this place known as 'the Switzerland of India.'Points of interest include the famous Shiva Temple Jagatsuhk 6 KM (3.7 miles); the Vashist Hot Water Springs 3.2 KM (2 miles), and Manikaran 85 KM (53 miles), a place of holy pilgrimage with healing hot water springs.
