This game resort on the outskirts of the sanctuary is spread across 4.5 acres and comprises 12 rooms, 11 tents and 6 cottages amidst sprawling lawns. With amenities like swimming pool, gaming room, conference room, Club Mahindra Safari resort promises a unique holiday experience. Jeep Safaris led by experienced local tour guides into the national park are a big draw here.  Entertainment activities include Trekking, unique Chakda Ride, Nature Walk, Aqua Zorbing, Documentary shows, Party games and many more are done.  Resort also offers exclusive Local Cuisine which is vegetarian by nature of food available locally.

Gir, also called as Sasan Gir the last abode of the Asiatic lion, is in the Junagadh district in Kathiawar, Gujarat. The national park came into being after the Nawab of Junagadh declared the region protected in the early 1900s, Sasan Gir Forest Reserve, created in 1913 and accorded sanctuary status in 1965 comprising of 1412 sq km of deciduous forest, fed by perennial and seasonal rivers and streams, the sanctuary has large water bodies like the Kamleshwar Dam that are good for crocodiles and birds. Gir is the only place in the world outside Africa, where the Lion can be seen in its natural habitat. Gir is also home to one of the largest Leopard populations in any park in India, making it an excellent place to see big cats of a different kind. Also to be found here are Jungle Cat, Desert Cat, Rusty Spotted Cat, Sambar, Nilgai, Chinkara, Sambar, Black Buck, Four-Horned Antelope, Wild Boar, Indian Flying Fox, Indian Pangolin and Indian Porcupine.

    • Gir National Park remains closed from June to mid October every year due to monsoon. Pick-up and drop to the airport can be arranged for a fee.
    • Guest Certificate Policy: 48 hours prior notice, failing which guest will be charged daily room rent. Arrival prior checkin time, units allotted ONLY if available.
    • Master Card and Visa are accepted. The utility fee is for the full week, regardless of the duration of your stay.
