Smithy Cottage in Aberdeenshire, Scotland was built around 170 years ago for the blacksmith in the area. This lovely, fully equipped property was renovated and extended in 1991 and sleeps 4+2.
Accommodation: Ground Floor - Entrance Porch. Open plan living/ kitchen/dining area with wood burning stove. Bedroom 1 with twin beds and ensuite shower room, w.c. and utility area. First Floor - Bedroom with double bed and two single beds under the eaves, shower & w.c. South facing roof windows giving maximum sunlight.
To the front of the Cottage there is a fenced grassy area and patio with stunning views, this area is safe for children.
Smithy Cottage in Scotland is located at the foothills of the eastern Cairngorms between Deeside and Speyside in the Cairngorm National Park area of Upper Donside.
Rich in scenic beauty and places of interest, Upper Donside offers a wide range of interest for those wishing to explore by car, bike or on foot. There are Castles, Distilleries and Gardens to visit and explore. Wildlife is plentiful and regular sightings of deer, red squirrels, buzzards, herons and otters can be enjoyed.
Smithy Cottage makes an ideal base from which to explore this lovely area of north east Scotland. A car being essential to fully appreciate all the area has to offer.
