“Matric Rage” is expected to return to their usual numbers and location. This year’s peak week for such will fall in week 48 (28 November to 5 December). As a result of a change in demographic over this time period, with the expectation that a large majority of the guests will be school leavers, the normal entertainment program will be adjusted accordingly. The Resort is a strictly non-smoking resort. This includes the use of e-cigarettes, vapes, and hubbly bubbly (hookah/shisha), which are not permitted anywhere on the property.
Please take note of several property improvement projects that will be undertaken over the coming months. Certain projects will commence sooner than planned due to storm damage sustained during May 2026. The projects are as follows: STORM DAMAGE REPAIRS Main Parking Fence | August 2026 The parking fence completed in 2025 sustained severe damage during the recent storms and will be repaired as soon as possible. Please note that the proposed dates may change depending on supplier availability. Porte Cochère and Main Entrance Security Guard House | Immediate During the recent storms, sections of the ceiling boards and overhang were damaged. Repairs will commence immediately to prevent further deterioration and minimise any potential safety risks. All work will be carried out without closing any driveways and will be managed around operational requirements. Gazebo Roof Waterproofing | August 2026 The waterproofing on the gazebo rooftop was compromised during the storms and will be repaired as soon as contractors become available. PROPERTY IMPROVEMENTS Outdoor Pool Resurfacing | Week 32 to Week 34 (8 August – 29 August 2026) Please note that the pool will be out of service for approximately two weeks during this period. While we do not anticipate excessive noise levels, the work will involve the use of fibreglass materials, which may produce strong odours, as well as some grinding and sanding activities. Beacon Café Stack Doors | Week 46 (14 November – 21 November 2026) The Beacon Café stack doors and frames will be replaced to improve operational efficiency. The current system has been discontinued, and replacement parts are no longer available. The resort will endeavour to minimise any disruption caused during these projects. Work will generally be scheduled between 09h00 and 16h00, Saturday to Saturday.
