“Matric Rage” is expected to return to their usual numbers and location. This year’s peak week for such will fall in week 48 (29 November to 06 December). As a result of a change in demographic over this time period, with the expectation that a large majority of the guests will be school leavers, the normal entertainment program will be adjusted accordingly. The Resort is a strictly non-smoking resort. This includes the use of e-cigarettes, vapes, and hubbly bubbly (hookah/shisha), which are not permitted anywhere on the property.
Please take note of the below resort upgrades: *Gazebo Kitchen Extension | Week 39 to Week 47 (29 September to 28 November) To improve health and safety, the Gazebo Kitchen will undergo structural changes, including expanded working space and improved ventilation, allowing this area to function as a multi-purpose facility. Some main walls and flooring will be removed, which may involve the use of jackhammers. Please note that periods of high noise are expected. *Main Entrance Gate and Security Guard House | Week 39 to Week 47 (29 September to 28 November) The entrance gate and guard house overhang will be upgraded to align with the Port Cochere look and feel. High-level scaffolding will be used, and the area will remain accessible to both vehicles and guests during the work. *Robberg Restaurant Ceiling & Aircon system Replacement | Date TBC (Estimated project time – 3 weeks) The Robberg Room ceiling and aircon system will be replaced this year. The restaurant will be closed for the duration of the upgrade. During this period, Beacon Café and the Captain’s Cabin will be the main dining areas whilst the Robberg Room receives a well-deserved facelift. *Porte Cochere |Repairs and Upgrade The waterproofing in units 116 and 117 has to be repaired first. Once done, the Porte Cochere upgrade can commence. The programme has been structured to fall within the normal maintenance weeks to ensure minimal disruption to our Guests during your stay. Work will be carried out between 09h00 and 17h00 (Saturday to Saturday).
Please note: The indoor pool will be out of commission for weeks 42 & 43 (18 October to 31 October) this year. While minimal noise is anticipated, the use of fibreglass, grinding, and sanding may result in noticeable odours.
