Each of the comfortable and secure self-catering apartments has its own balcony and boasts superb views of the lagoon and ocean; perfect for relaxing with a cool drink and watching the waves roll in. Alternatively, head down to the pool and spend a lazy afternoon with your favourite author. You're not only close to the town, but you're also conveniently placed to experience all the action from cosmopolitan Durban to the Wild Coast. Better pack your dancing shoes!
Excellent local attractions include the sensational T C Robertson Nature Reserve, with its amazing birdlife, buck and monkeys, and Vernon Crookes Game Reserve's glorious patchwork of rolling coastal grasslands, forest, thornbush and wetlands and an array of game animals, including zebra, blue duiker and the black-backed jackal (try pronouncing that after a sundowner or two). Watch living dinosaurs feed without shedding a tear at Croc World. Sport lovers are in for a real treat too, with scuba diving along the Aliwal Shoal, deep-sea, rock and surf fishing, hiking, tennis and 4 world-class golf courses all on the menu. Talking of menus, there are great restaurants in town where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine.

Guests are responsible for making their own beds; washing, drying and packing away their own dishes, cutlery, pots and pans; cleaning kitchen counters, stovetops and cooking surfaces; cleaning spills and food debris; and maintaining the general cleanliness and tidiness of the apartment during their stay. Two complimentary toilet rolls per bathroom are supplied on arrival. This is a starter supply for the stay. Any additional toilet paper requested from Pearly Shells will be charged at the applicable rate. Guests may alternatively purchase their own additional supplies. On departure, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans must be washed, dried and packed away; leftover food and rubbish must be disposed of appropriately; and the apartment must be left in a reasonably clean and tidy condition. Normal departure cleaning remains included. Where an apartment is left in a condition requiring cleaning beyond normal departure cleaning - including unwashed dishes, excessive food debris, rubbish, spills or excessive mess - an additional reasonable cleaning charge will apply.
