WorldMark Tucson Rancho Vistoso, located in Oro Valley, 20 miles outside of Tucson, is an excellent base from which to enjoy the best of the Southwest, including lots of on-site amenities. The championship Weiskopf-designed golf course is next door, and historic and cultural attractions are nearby. The resort offers an outdoor pool, tennis, a whirlpool/hot tub, a game room, a playground, and an outdoor spa. Also available on site is a children's play area and an exercise facility. The nearest restaurant is within 3 miles. Summer temps between 100 and 108 are common. AC units cool down to 72 degrees. Dubbed a 'mini-mecca for the arts' by The Wall Street Journal, downtown Tucson boasts its own symphony, ballet, opera and theater companies. The Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona boasts the foremost collection of Ansel Adams in the country. Forty minutes from downtown, the Pima Air and Space Museum is the biggest privately funded air museum in the world with more than 200 vintage and modern aircraft. More than 35 golf courses are in the vicinity, with one of the best - “The Golf Club at Vistoso“ - right around the corner. For kids (or kids-at-heart) who've always dreamed of being cowboys, Old Tucson, part movie set, part Western theme park, is a must-see. The climate and surroundings are perfect for golf, biking, rock-climbing, bird-watching, and stargazing.
