Killington Chalet Snowkflak/Snowflur, noted as the best ski resort in the Northeast, is nestled less than five miles from the Killington ski area. Spectacular mountain views await visitors. Truly a four season resort, Killington winter actvities include skiing, snowshoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snow-mobiling and while golf, swimming, fishing, biking and hiking can be enjoyed in the summer. Killington is home to two ski resorts, including Killington and Pico. There's Green Mountain National Golf Course voted "Vermont's #1 Public Golf Course" by Golf Digest. Besides skiing, there's amazing hiking on the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail. The Long Trail is a 270 mile footpath that runs from the Massachusetts border to the Canadian border for the day hiker, overnighter, and serious backpacker. The Appalachian Trail is a beautiful 2,175 mile national trail running Georgia to Maine. Killington has some of the most scenic areas of this trail including Thundering Falls
